Controller - Global experience

A Biotech company in the Boston area is currently in need of a Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of general accounting, financial reporting, financial systems and internal controls. The successful candidate must have global accounting experience. This is an outstanding opportunity for the qualified individual. Duties & Responsibilities:   Oversee the month/quarter-end financial statement preparation process  Assist with monthly forecasting and annual profit planning, as well as ownership of key balance sheet accounts.    Resolution of complex or non-routine account or reconciliation issues.  Primary liaison with internal/external auditors  Serve as the division’s world-wide “Chief Accounting Officer” by ensuring continued compliance with SOX  regulations, maintaining all financial policies and procedures, and assuring compliance with GAAP.  Prepare monthly reports which asses the overall health of the organization which will be reviewed by senior management and external auditors.  Maintain and administer accounting policies and procedures.  Research accounting literature and recommend accounting treatment for various complex business transactions.  Responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the financial statements.  Supervise staff   Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge):  A Bachelor’s degree in a related area.  CPA   15+ years of financial operations experience  Global financial experience  Experience in a Biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device company a real plus  Strong leadership ability including supervising of employees  Ability to drive change  Strong Analytical skills and business acumen  Creativity  People and communication skills  Ability to write issues in clear and understanding manner  Ability to arrange and conduct meetings  Ability to negotiate  Ability to track projects and report results in a timely manner  Organization skills – ability to prioritize tasks  Ability to train personnel   Interested?Email your resume to Suzanne@mriweston.com or call Suzanne at 954-385-3122 We value diversity and Management Recruiters of Weston is an Equal Opportunity Employer! Outstanding compensation and benefit package.  Make your education and experience pay off for you now.
