Controller - Government Contractor

Acsys, Inc., a leader in the accounting and finance employment industry, is seeking qualifed professionals for the following position: 

 

Controller

● Responsible for the overall supervision of the Accounting Department and Contracts Management

● Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, year-end transactions, and manage depreciation schedules and apprise manager of their ongoing budgets.

● Manage all payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

● Participate in the bid/proposal process.  Interpret and recommend practical implementations of the FAR, DFAR and CAS.

● Provide costing data and prepare business proposals

● Responsible for invoicing clients, monitoring past due accounts and handling collections.

● Oversee the payment of all monthly invoices, and bank reconciliations.

● Responsible for compiling financial data for DCAA and company audits.

● Interacts with staff and customers to research and resolve problems in a timely manner.

● Responds to questions or requests for information from VP’s, Program/Project Managers, and staff on a regular basis.

● Complete additional projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

● BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field

● 8+ years experience

● Applicants must be proficient in GCS Premier Deltek, Time Collection, ADP, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.

● MBA and CPA preferred
