About the Opportunity: 



The primary role of the Controller is to manage revenue and expenditures.  At White & Company, this person also serves as an assistant to technology enablement and process improvement. 

 

Qualifications:

BS in Accounting required5-10+ years of progressively responsible accounting experienceDetailed-oriented with strong analytical skills and proficient spreadsheet capabilitiesExcellent organizational  & Interpersonal skillsStrong supervisory skills and organization skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AccessAble to meet deadlines

 

Job Duties:



The responsibilities of the Controller include, but are not limited to:Must have experience in preparing monthly financial statements for a P&C Insurance agency and be responsible for maintaining the general ledger through financial statement preparation;Ensure the timely billing and collection of revenue;Control the procurement and payment of expenditures;Transaction processing – including the analysis, recording and posting of transactions to the General Journal;Providing timely and accurate creation of financial reports, including month-end;Manage vendor relationships;Post commission statements;Life/Health commission statement journal entries;Update various revenue/production spreadsheetsYear-end Closing;Year-end closing journal entries;Cash out Flow; statements; Actual numbers for previous month;Financial Statement Analysis using Excel; Budget Variance Analysis: Compare budgeted figures to actual expenditures;Gather 1099 Information;Premium Reimbursement;In addition to the above referenced job description, any other job assigned by management.
