Controller for Norwalk Directory Ad Agency

Wahlstrom Group is the second largest U.S. Yellow Pages advertising agency, specializing in the planning and placement of print and electronic directory marketing for a large number of the world's top brands.

 

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team.  The successful candidate needs to feel comfortable being hands on while also thinking strategically.  The candidate should have a strong accounting background and sound knowledge of GAAP. 


Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller responsibilities include:

·  The daily operations of corporate accounting and accounts payable, billing, cash applications

·  Preparation of monthly closing, financial consolidation and analysis of financial results.

·  Preparation of monthly reporting package and other information as requested by management.

·  Assist with the coordination of external auditors for all reviews.

·  The analysis of financial and related operating data as requested by management.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

·  CPA certification is preferred

·  5+ years of experience in progressive accounting positions

·  Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP

·  Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task; attention to detail

·  Excellent communication and written skills
