Corporate Accountant

Come JOIN A WINNING TEAM!  We are currently looking for a Corporate Accountant responsible for performing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end general accounting functions for our US operations in Accounting and Finance. This includes preparation and recording of journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts as assigned.Develops and implements methods for automated journal entries, to include but not limited to, payroll entries. Reconcile all the accrual, reserve, and deposit accounts (i.e. short/long term and refundable deposits) to appropriate supporting documentation. Reviews analysis of intercompany transactions, record necessary journal entries to balance accounts and communicates with non Texas Financial managers the outstanding issues that need to be resolved prior to next month-end close. Prepare list closing journal entries and various adjusting entries to bring financial statements in line with generally accepted accounting principles. Prepare analysis of various suspense and prepaid accounts, and record entries as necessary to properly reflect transactions. Maintain monthly analysis schedule. Reconcile all the accrual, reserve, and deposit accounts to appropriate supporting documentation. Prepare bank account reconciliations and any other account reconciliation, analysis, or journal entries required for the timely and accurate closing of account balances. Maintain log of all journal entries required, to include recurring entries. Provide all information and supporting detail to Supervisor for review and approval. Prepare information as needed to comply with various governmental and census reporting. Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of the Supervisor, Accounting and Financial Reporting or Manager, General Accounting Services.

Requirements:Minimum three years general ledger experience with a multi-division company. Account reconciliation experience of balance sheet and income statement items a must. Hands-on computer experience with general ledger accounting system a must.  Detail oriented and well organized. Good oral and written communication skills. Self directed and self motivated. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible in dealing with change. Four year college degree in accounting or business.
