Corporate Accounting Manager

Education Level:

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required

CPA or CPA-eligible desired

 

Experience/Skills:

- Seven to ten years accounting experience with knowledge of accounting rules and regulations

- Three or more years of supervisory experience

- Experience working in a mid to large size company...over $1B revenue

- Extensive PC Skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and D&B

- Detail understanding of financial systems, preferably JD Edwards

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Financial Analysis

- Strong analytical & problem solving skills

- Leadership skills

 

Responsibilities:

 - Oversee all levels of financial and accounting operations

- Development and continued enhancement of internal controls within finance

organization by monitoring system controls and process controls within each financial

 cycle

- Manage the daily finance and accounting activity consisting of Accounts Receivable &

Accounts Payable

- Involved in budget process, review forecast analysis of budget vs. actual

- Manage Fixed Asset budgeting, processing & reporting

- Conduct monthly closing activities to ensure proper and timely closing is conducted for

 two companies: consist of closing sub-ledgers, accrual processing, analysis of general

ledger accounts, bank reconciliation and integrities.

- Proper FS execution in accordance with GAAP, review of financial statements, ensure

accuracy & completeness, ensure budget vs. actual is completed.

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to parent company

- Involved in executions of external and internal audits, communication with auditors

- Involved in special projects related to system and process
