Corporate Financial Reporting Manager/GAAP/SEC

Leading national corporation located in Nashville TN desires a highly qualified individual experienced in corporate financial reporting. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, this person would be responsible for technical accounting issues, policies and procedures, SOX compliance, and supporting external financial reporting across a growing organization. This would be a great position for a big four candidate to transition to private industry where you would continue your technical training and marketablity with highly desired experience.

Essential functions include:

Research recently issues technical US GAAP and SEC pronouncements, and interpret the corresponding implications on the organization

Coordinate with divisions on technical accounting issues and work through respective resolutions

Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures manual; monitor consistent application across the organization

Update and maintain internal controls documentation related to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and compliance

Assist in preparation of forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K, including Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)
Assist with acquisition due diligence


Education/Experience requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,  CPA preferred

3-5 years of accounting and public reporting experience, with 2-4 years at a Big Four accounting firm preferred

Technical US GAAP and SEC accounting/reporting experience required

Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required

Desire for experience with Great Plains General Ledger package

Desire for experience in a multi-divisional organization

Desire for experience with acquisition due diligence
