Corporate Tax Accountant- To $85K + Bonus

Corporate Tax Accountant In this role you will be responsible for a wide variety of tax and accounting functions including the maintenance of tax and regulatory calendars, preparation of annual statement exhibits and tax returns, and premium tax and income tax returns.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful organization that offers great benefits and work/life balance.  Responsibilities Examine tax processes Redefine work/processes to create better departmental understanding and efficiencies Propose best practices/new ways of working Maintenance of tax and regulatory calendar Preparation of various tax returns (i.e. state premium, annual and quarterly, personal property, municipal, annual and quarterly federal and state income/franchise tax returns) Reconcile tax accounts Prepare quarterly income and state tax accruals Preparation of exhibits and schedules for the quarterly/annual statement Respond to tax notices Research of Tax and Accounting related issues as neededQualifications BS in Accounting or Finance 3 + year of tax experience in public accounting or public/private mix Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word and ExcelIf you would like to be considered for this role please submit your resume to Caroline Kaplan, carolinekaplan@spherion.com or contact Caroline directly at 610-337-1113 Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
