Cost Account Manager (CAM)

Milton Cat Power Systems is looking for an organized, self-motivated team player to work in the Governmental Power Systems Division. This division is responsible for cost control and accounting of governmental projects .  This position will be based in Milford, MA.


The position involves cost data accumulation and analysis for various projects. The Cost account manager will reconcile all program costs with resource loaded schedules and other financial accounting systems. The Cost account manager, with the assistance of other Program personnel, will administer the change control program and perform other cost engineering duties as may be directed and will interface and coordinate with Program Schedulers in schedule and cost integration matters. The Cost account manager may also interface directly with the customer as well as provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to others in the resolution of cost engineering problems. The Cost account manager will prepare bid analyses and maintain historical estimating information as well as provide advice and assistance to the Program personnel on any cost engineering/estimating questions relating to both contract specific and business administration matters.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or construction management or the equivalent of 5+ years in cost engineering/estimating in addition to at least 2 years of directly related experience in cost estimating for construction is required. The candidate must understand the budget preparation and expenditure process and be able to implement, record, track, and forecast. Experience in cost analysis, report preparation, and estimate preparation is required. Proficiency in, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS project and other financial management software is desired. Must be skilled in oral and written communication.
