Position Description:

The Manufacturing Analysis & Control Department, located in Walnut Creek, California, has an opening for a Cost Accountant.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Period-end financial reporting and other accounting related activities for a number of plants.Analysis of plant generated variances.Interim and annual plant product costing.Develop new product costs.Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.Special analyses and projects. 10% travel required.Qualifications: 4 year college degree in Finance or Accounting.4 plus years experience in accounting related filed.Knowledge of manufacturing based cost accounting, both theoretical and practical.Strong communication skills with customer service focus.Analytical and detail oriented.Strong PC skills in Excel and Word.
