Cost Accountant Manager- Sauer Danfoss Corporation

Currently, we are seeking a Cost Accountant Manager to lead our newly formed Regional Cost Accounting Center for the Valves Business Unit located in Easley, SC.  The candidate selected for this opportunity will be responsible for developing and leading a team of cost analysts.  The costing team will be charged with developing new reports to better analyze budget vs. actual variances in a multi-plant environment and partner with Product Line Managers to help them understand their P&L results.  This person will also assist management with strategic purchasing decisions, capital spending, and cost reduction activities.



 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, lead, and mentor costing teamMaintain all aspects of SAP R3 CO and FI modules at the plant levelRepresent Valves NA as the lead SAP CO Super User on global standardization projectsDesign and execute SAP CO/FI module training plans for all department membersLead monthly production variance and activity rate variance analysisAssist with month end closing and monthly reportingManage all aspects of the annual cost rollParticipate in the annual budgeting processLead department process improvement activitiesAssist controller and product line managers with special projects Lead presentations on costing issues/training to local management team and in regional CO training eventsDevelopment and preparation of management reports required

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years working in a product costing role Experience with SAP required7 - 15 years experience with general accounting activities in a manufacturing environment Supervisory experience requiredStrong communication, analytical, and project management skills Microsoft Office experience requiredDesire to lead process improvements
