Reporting to the Cost Analysis Manager, the Cost Analyst is responsible for product line cost analysis and estimation. The individual in the position is responsible for responding to requests from product lines for analysis of future product costs, process analysis and corresponding corporate accounting reports and projects. This role works with minimum supervision while performing accounting, financial, and operational analysis for the company. The individual in the job will work with data provided by an integrated computerized sales order/materials management/accounting system and will use various software tools to interrogate the data in order to provide operational and financial analysis. Other responsibilities include: Providing support for government and customer audits of cost estimations and support for ad-hoc corporate accounting.   Minimum Qualifications must have general knowledge of GAAP and general knowledge of cost estimation procedures, experience with computerized manufacturing operations and financial systems. Communication skills required to effectively interact with co-workers, management and operations personnel at all levels within the Company. Aerospace or Automotive industry experience a big plus!   B.S. / B.A. degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Ability to work in a technical or engineering driven environment preferred. Three years related work experience. CPA/CMA a plus.
