Credit Manager

Pittsburgh based wholesale distribution company in business for over 75 years is seeking a professional, highly motivated, experienced individual to oversee credit/collections department.  The candidate should have at least 5 years of collection experience; detail oriented and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Primary Responsibilities

· Complete credit applications and reference requests on new and existing customers

· Monitor A/R aging reports on weekly basis and communicate delivery instructions with warehouse and logistics personnel

· Recommend payment terms and credit limits to Sales Manager

· Prepare A/R reports and communicate any collections issues with senior management

· Develop and implement policies and procedures to insure efficient operation of credit function

Qualifications

· Bachelor degree and accounting experience preferred

· Minimum of 5 years experience in A/R and collections management

· Exceptional oral and written communication skills with superior knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Ability and implement policies effectively while balancing need to maintain flexibility

· Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
