Job ID: 12645Position Description:We are currently seeking a Credit Rep to join our growing team.PRIMARY FUNCTION:Provide effective account management of 3500-4500 active accounts within Field Credit as applicable.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:? Complete at least 50 calls per day (includes inbound and outbound) to promote customer compliance with Grainger payment terms.? Use of professional collection skills and techniques to identify customer reasons for delinquent account status to provide support to credit worthiness analysis and movement toward prompt payment.? Identify, address and resolve issues or situations which may cause past due conditions on customer account. • Work closely with the A/R specialists and customer to resolve situations which cause un-reconciled checks.• Provide Credit Rep II with credit information to assist in evaluation of customer credit worthiness.• Visit customers as needed, (existing and potential) to promote partnerships, resolve barriers to payment. • Communicate with Sales and Operations staff regarding specific situations and/or general collection issues. Interact with Sales personnel to promote partnerships for payment barrier removal. • Maintain thorough accurate customer information files, in proper order as per established guidelines..• Achieve company established guidelines of collection effectiveness• Performs other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:• High school diploma or equivalent; some college * 2+ years collection experience or high volume call center experience• Good attendance and work ethics• MS Office and SAP experience a plus• Effective interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and communication skills• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to plan and deliver results• Good analytical and problem solving skills• Demonstrated ability to work in complex situations with professionalism and decorum• Ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external business partners and management levels• Supervisory input for all non routine tasksGrainger is a Fortune 500 company and the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions throughout North America with sales of over $5 billion.
