CREDIT SERVICES SUPERVISOR

PURPOSE:

Assist our boutique customers (independent store owners) to obtain/verify/communicate approved credit terms and alternate methods of payment. Work directly with factor on credit limits and account status.

 

 

Principal Job Responsibilities:

 Manage credit policies for all specialty boutique customers (5,000 – 7,000 accounts) Notify customers that are declined for N30 terms and collect credit card information for pending orders Ensure invoices/statements are mailed to all N30 customers Perform collections function for any receivables not guaranteed by the factor Support customer service by responding to all accounting related calls

 Manage relationship with the Accounts Receivable factor Ensure all orders are reviewed and approved by the factor prior to being shipped Research all factor disputes and charge backs Research all on account payments Notify the factor of any credits posted to the Spanx ledger for returns, payments received directly by Spanx, etc. Prepare monthly reconciliation between Spanx and factor A/R Aging Prepare monthly performance reports including metrics such as % of orders approved by the factor, current % of receivables guaranteed by the factor, etc.

  Supervise a Credit Customer Service representative

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 years experience in a customer service/credit role

 

Experience with independent retail companies in operations or credit services highly desired

 

Bachelor’s degree

 

Proficient computer skills including advanced Excel knowledge

 

Customer Service orientation with outstanding communication and influencing abilities

 

Self-starter, independent “doer”

 

Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and follow-up

 

Previous supervisory experience

 

 

This position is part of the Accounting team and reports to the Controller.  The  hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm.  SPANX offers a comprehensive benefit package including paid medical/dental, 401-k with company matching and performance sharing.
