Smart Telecom Concepts LLC (STC), is a leading outsourcing/consulting/data processing firm that assists Competitive Local Telephone Companies (CLECs) to identify vendor overcharges and billing errors.  STC has patented software and a proven process in assisting clients.  STC has consulted for over 2/3 of the major CLECs in the U.S.  STC is located in Lisle, IL - a western suburb of Chicago.

 

Education Requirement

 

STC is offering a full time position to an individual with either an Undergraduate or Masters degree in Computer Science/IT or related fields.  Our goal is to provide the individual with working experience in utilizing relational database techniques in live client applications.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

1.  Work with clients to develop data and technical requirements to retrieve relevant information from their operating systems.  Familiarity with Unix, Oracle, SQL and MS Access preferred.

 

2.  Operate STC's proprietary software in processing client's electronic invoices on a monthly basis.

 

3.  Use MS Access queries and/or SQL statements to reconcile client's invoice data with their internal billing inventories to identify exceptions (i.e. billing errors).

 

4.  Create macros to allow for the reconciliation to be performed on a routine basis.

 

5.  Use data mining techniques to perform analysis as needed.

 

6.  Create documentation and train clients on STC's web application.

 

7.  Set up and maintain integrated client/server and SQL server for STC's web application.
