Job Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development Contact Information Company: CORESTAFF Services Email: Apply by Email Job Description Desktop Support Professional Large downtown law firm is in need of an IT Application Analyst to provide second level end user support for all aspects of personal computer usage. Salary DOEExperience: at least 3 to 5 years experience supporting professional users is required. Knowledge, skills and abilities required:* Strong working knowledge in Windows XP and MS Office Suite, including but not limited to device management, registry, policies, services, user management.* Strong technical and analytical skills and a strong understanding of technical concepts. * Strong troubleshooting skills.* Strong customer service orientation is required. * Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload is crucial. Individual must also have the ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, make independent decisions, meet demanding deadlines under frequently changing conditions and priorities. * SQL database familiarity.* Thorough understanding of networking technology (in practice and conceptual), both in a local and wide area environment.* Working knowledge of MS-DOS command line functions.* VBA skills for the purpose of creating and modifying firm customized templates in all Microsoft Office applications.* Thorough understanding of Citrix (in practice and conceptual), both in a local and wide area environment.* Thorough knowledge of wireless communications with 802.11b and 802.11g and Bluetooth.* Thorough knowledge of video and voice conferencing technology. Ability to setup and support video conferencing between firm offices and clients.* Working knowledge of Active Directory* Ability to communicate effectively with end-users in order to explain functionality.
