This highly visible position will be instrumental in the success of mission critical strategic initiatives.This position has 2 major roles: 1. Business Case Creation and Communication – Responsible for creation of all phases of a Business Case (Market Analysis, Strategic Fit, Economic Models, and Development Plans) and the communication of the Business Case to all internal stakeholders, including Senior Management. 2. Cross-functional Project Management – Focal point of on-going communication between Business Strategy and Development Group and other departments and/or external vendors, acquisition targets, or strategic partners in order to ensure the successful completion of initiatives within an aggressive timeframe. The Director of Business Development will communicate with Clients, Market Participants, Sales, Finance, IT, Client Services, Senior Executives, and support staff in order to gather information necessary to perform assigned responsibilities. This position is responsible for initiating contact and organizing productive meetings in order to achieve business goals. Other Duties in this role will include both Research and Reporting duties. Experience: Prior experience in creating, implementing, and communicating strategic initiatives to the highest levels of an organization preferred. Candidate should possess knowledge and experience in both primary and secondary Market Research. Prior experience in the acquisition process (identifying, valuing, due diligence, contract negotiation, and integration) is highly preferred.
