The Director Business Unit Finance has responsibility to oversee the preparation of complete accurate financial statements & reports in compliance with US GAAP and company policy and procedures. Implement programs and practices to meet changing requirements for Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Ensure compliance with the Client’s requirements, AWS, and AWW financial standards and policy.


Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for preparing/overseeing the monthly preparation of the business unit’s financial statements and related schedules in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies and procedures as required.
Prepare the business unit’s monthly reporting package to explain the units’ financial performance vs. budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators.
Prepare planning information (business plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts) based on detailed knowledge of the business unit’s operations and with the objective of maximizing its contribution to AWE’s financial performance.
Develop and maintain an effective internal control environment, including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and corporate policies and procedures.
Provide financial support and analysis for business development opportunities in support of the business unit’s Commercial Development Committee (CDC). Analysis includes reviewing and opining on integrity and reasonableness of financial models and the related key assumptions prepared to evaluate the financial viability of these opportunities.
Provide business support and evaluation to the business unit’s president on key operating matters.


Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
MBA in Accounting or Finance.

Knowledge:

• Recognized as an expert in their field; can lead a team of fellow professionals to meet the objectives of the company.
• Comprehensive and advanced knowledge of US GAAP and associated reporting.
• Knowledge of financial evaluation models, including discount rates, free cash flow and net present values.
• Advanced knowledge of financial systems, frameworks and functionality.
• Utility industry, shared services or multi-company corporation experience a plus.
