Director Finance, Business Development - to $105K+

Due to significant growth they currently have an opening for a Director of Finance, Business Development position. The selected individual will be key members of the Services Finance operation’s team. DESCRIPTION:

Provide technical finance support and insight to the US segment business development

process. Particular requirements include managing acquisition and joint venture

processes. Candidates must have experience with strategic analysis, financial modeling,

valuation, engagement of tax and legal, and supporting bargaining and negotiations.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

 

v  Sophisticated financial modeling

v  Ability to engage and partner with internal and external subject matter expert --- successfully translate through leadership into financial business cases

v  Ability to lead and coordinate effort of finance resources, embedded in the business, consultants and banks.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

 

v  Develop DCF and other valuation models for discrete growth options and for combinations of growth options or concepts.

v  Develop risk models. Using simulation modeling test sensitivities of uncertain variables, provide guidance on key risks and assumptions, and establish the possibility of various outcomes.

v  Develop financial case for various business combinations and structures, contrast impacts of various potential partners, and advise leadership on the merits of certain entry strategies and initial investments.

v  Help VP Finance develop engagement plan and then help/support manage relations with investment banks, tax, legal, and other technical partners. Provide critical support to the structure of third-party relationships, to optimizing bargaining and negotiating and to finalizing transactions.

v  Participate in the presentation of business concepts to the organization’s top executives, particularly the financial components of business cases

v  Help VPs manage engagements of outside investment banking, audit, tax, and legal consultants.

v  Participate in the valuation activities related to acquisitions and strategic investments.

v  Support and participate in negotiations.

 

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

 

(Applicants must possess all of the following to be considered.)

Meaningful experience in M & A, finance expertise, ability to lead complex projects and

effectively engage senior executives.

Familiar with Monte Carlo simulations, able to learn and utilize CrystalBall software.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Investment banking experience, venture capital experience, Fortune 500 M & A

Experience and/or CFA.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

v  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, MBA preferred.

v  Experience with valuation modeling in complex business structures and experience with mergers and acquisitions.

v  Outstanding presentation skills

v  Ability to grasp complex issues very quickly

v  Proven record of managing multiple projects under tight timelines

v  Willingness to travel occasionally

v  Proven maturity level/presence with senior executives

v  Experience in a Fortune 500 corporate environment preferred

v  Proven ability to think on your feet

v  A minimum of three (3) years professional experience in finance with advanced degree.

v  A minimum of eight (8) years experience in finance with Bachelor’s degree.

v  English is required. Second language is a plus.
