Director - Financial Process & Controls

Description:The Director, Financial Process and Integration (FPI), will be a member of the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization based in San Jose and will be responsible for proactively managing process and system changes that impact the Company’s financial statements and related disclosures. These responsibilities will include leading the FPI team working with members of the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization, the broader Finance group and the Technology organization to identify and monitor areas of change resulting from our growth in transaction volumes, international expansion, automation of processes, software application changes, accounting integration in connection with acquisitions and other areas of change.Due to the importance of the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley 404 initiatives, the Financial Process and Integration team is expected to spend approximately 75% of its time providing project management oversight and Business Unit support to assist Senior Management in their efforts to meet Company objectives. In addition, the FPI team is expected to lead the vision of leveraging controls to optimize operational benefits throughout the organization. This position will be responsible for global project management and communication of status and results to Senior Management. Activities will include coordinating resources, monitoring management progress, working with dedicated Business Unit compliance resources to ensure the timely update and completion of documentation, evaluating testing results, providing training, coordinating reviews with our external auditors and other efforts, as well as identifying opportunities for streamlining and automating process.Qualifications:Candidates applying for this position must have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a background in the areas of accounting/finance processes, development and monitoring of internal controls, SOX 404 project management, acquisition integration and financial systems. A combination of Big Four public accounting experience (+7 years) with industry experience at a multi-national company is preferred. Candidates must be self-starters with a solid work ethic and strong project management skills. Candidates should also possess the following: effective written and verbal communication skills – including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner; exceptional project management, multi-tasking and follow-through capabilities on cross-functional teams; ability to influence the actions of others and leverage the skills of project partners; focus on achieving project deliverables within tight timelines; ability to work well within a team structure and lead courageously; appreciation of the Company’s corporate culture; high ethical standards;  ability and desire to learn new skills; and an understanding of SAP, the ability to speak multiple languages and a CPA license are not required, but are a plus The Company has operations all over the world.
