About the Position:

 

As Director, International Tax - reporting directly to the VP Finance, based out of our world headquarters in Irvine, CA, you will be responsible for managing the Company’s worldwide foreign tax requirements.  In this highly visible position you will have broad responsibility for ensuring compliance for the Company’s worldwide tax requirements as well as having the opportunity to implement new global planning approaches to support the Company’s growth.  You will have close collaboration with the US Tax Director and will partner with outside international personnel regularly.  You will participate in both facets of a strategic leader and subject matter expert in global tax, including the hands on aspects of this role.

 

Responsibilities:

 Reviews and files all tax filings for all Company entities, ensuring compliance with international filing requirements. Manages international tax filing requirements to ensure timely and accurate annual tax filings.Demonstrated experience in handling international tax filing requirements in Europe, Asia, Japan, Canada and Latin America.Prepares related requirements such as tax provision, estimates and other activities as needed.Maintains and updates transfer pricing studies and ensures intercompany transactions are properly recorded between entities.Conducts research and resolves issues, including resolution of issues between different US and international jurisdictions.Assists in developing, refining and testing tax related policies, procedures and internal controls as it relates to the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.Develops procedures in response to new tax pronouncements and guidance by IRS and other US and/or international governmental agencies.Assists CFO and Vice President, Finance in special projects as necessary.

 Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or related major (advanced degree preferred)CPA with a major public accounting firm with related tax planning & compliance experience.10 or more years directly related experience with a combination of public and private experience, including 3 or more years in industry.Advanced technical tax accounting and research skills.Demonstrated experience with implementation of procedures and controls as it relates to Sarbanes-Oxley.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Pro-active with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail oriented, hands-on and strong at multi-tasking.Advanced functions of major accounting and tax software, including MS office.
