My Client is a publicly traded corporation and a premier leader in the development of biometric identification systems technology. They support a worldwide customer base catering to government, law enforcement and commercial users, providing state-of-art products and system solutions. With no dept, this profitable company offers a lot of growth and opportunity.  They are cash flow positive with $400M in cash and are not having lay offs, and don’t plan to, this is a stable working environment.  Their revenues are about $100M.

Under general supervision, responsibilities include assessment and documentation of revenue recognition position for the Company’s significant contracts in accordance with SOP 97-2, research, resolve and document accounting position on any technical accounting issues, completion of SEC filings including Form 10-K and 10-Q, and assistance in the month and quarter end close process.  May interpret reports and records for management.

 Principal Duties

· Address significant accounting issues including revenue recognition for software contracts in accordance with SOP 97-2

· Prepare SEC filings for Company including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Proxy and other SEC filings

· Address and document resolution on any technical accounting issues

· Coordination and accounting for foreign operations

· Assist in month and quarter end close process including accounting for the Company’s foreign operations, calculation of EPS and stock based compensation, and completion of payroll entries.

· Participate in special projects as requested.

 

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 

· CPA designation.

· A minimum of 8 years mix of Public Accounting and industry experience.

· Strong understanding of GAAP.

· Strong technical accounting skills.

· Understanding and RECENT experience with SEC filings including drafting of MD&A, financial statement footnotes and completion of statement of cash flows
