The Director of Technical Accounting reports to the Corporate Controller and oversees in revenue recognition, technical accounting, and financial reporting. Job responsibilities include:

Technical Accounting:

· Provides direction, interpretation, and application of Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures, as well as all existing and newly issued accounting pronouncements from the IASB, FASB, SEC, and EITF

· Read and summarize legal contracts and other documents to analyze accounting implications 

· Research accounting rules and pronouncements for applicability to specified transactions

· Assist with the development of efficient and effective operational accounting implementation based on technical accounting findings

Revenue Accounting:

· Drives accounting compliance, and significantly participate in the preparation of press release, 10K, 10-Q and annual report

· Determination of appropriate revenue accounting policies and processes

· Analyze contracts and perform research to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment

· Develop and monitor revenue recognition training of individuals across the organization

· Ensure that appropriate revenue recognition rules are understood and followed

· Determine and ensure complete compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements as laid out for revenue accounting and improve controls where necessary

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and current CPA certification is required, along with a minimum of ten years experience in accounting or finance departments of public companies. Applicants should also have public accounting experience.  Candidates must exhibit in-depth, current knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and Revenue Recognition Principles
