Our client has an excellent benefits package along with a very lucrative total compensation plan.Director of AccountingResponsibilities The Director of Accounting will be responsible for all inventory accounting and control as well as related analytical functions associated with the Accounting division. This position will also manage and oversee the preparation of monthly inventory transactions, supporting schedules and related analysis of margin trends. This position will collaborate with Management Information personnel to ensure control over processes that record and report production margin activity and assist with audit requirements while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley key controls. In addition, the position will assist with the integration of vendor, product, purchasing and key financial information to JD Edwards systems. The position will control transactions that require interaction with the parent company to ensure the financial records are accurate and complete as well as continually assess assigned accounting practices to ensure that the workflow is optimal, well controlled and conforming to corporate timelines. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Master’s degree is preferred.   Minimum of 5 to 10 years accounting and inventory experience is required. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access is required.Knowledge of computer based general ledger systems such as JDE, Oracle, Hyperion, Great Plains, Solomon or Peachtree is required.   Proven track record of strong management skills and a demonstrated ability to lead others.   Ability to work independently, analyze business needs, summarize financial transactions, and document accounting and operational workflow.Effective written and oral communication skills are required.
