We are seeking a Director of Accounting Professional Standards to join our Philadelphia Economic Unit. This position will be located in our Blue Bell, PA office.

Position Overview:

The purpose of this role is to help ensure that attest services are conducted in accordance with professional standards and that written work product is free from technical errors and professional in appearance. This position will participate in independent reviews of written work product and underlying documentation supporting written work product. In addition, this position will provide training to and conduct research for personnel providing attest services.

Specific Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

•Review written work product for technical compliance, clarity and professionalism before issuance to clients.
•Conduct technical research in response to inquiries form personnel providing attest services to clients.
•Attend formal CPE and do professional reading to stay current and proactively compose professional guidance materials for personnel conducting attest services.
•When requested, compose formal CPE training materials and/or conduct formal CPE training classes.
•Participate in internal and external inspections of underlying workpaper documentation for our attest services.

Qualifications:

•Undergraduate Degree in Accounting and an active licensed CPA required.
•Minimum 7 years of experience providing financial statement services (audits, reviews, etc) within a national firm.
•Must have a broad basic awareness of generally accepted accounting principles; auditing, accounting and review, and attestation standards; quality standards; and regulatory (SEC) requirements.
•Must be able to understand complex principles and standards and apply them to specific situations.
•Strong communication and presentation skills.
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately.
•Experience with paperless audit software (i.e. – Caseware, GoAudit, etc.).
