Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the General Manager of an impressive theme park, this top finance leader plans, sets objectives and manages the entire finance function of a to include all aspects of financial accounting, cash control, inventory control and information technology.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. To formulate and manage policies, procedures and objectives to ensure the most efficient and professional finance program for the park. Coordinates financial activities with Corporate and VP of Finance.
2. Manages accounting functions, including all activities related to: accounts payable/receivable, cash control, general ledger, monthly and annual financial reports, internal controls and the annual audit.
3. Establish general accounting and reporting systems in compliance with corporate systems and generally accepted accounting principles; review and approve the recording of assets, expenses and operational profits and related reports.
4. Direct the preparation of periodic budget reports; analyze results and report variations to the General Manager; identifies potential budgetary problems and provides consultative advice to department heads and General Manager.
5. Authorize such test checks and internal audits as are necessary to determine the adequacy of pre-established controls and the adherence to established operating policy.
Manages the Theme Parks annual and long term budgetary program.
Conducts financial studies and analyses and the preparation of proformas and forecasts to aid long-range and short-term financial planning in the area of revenue production, expenses, per caps and capital improvements in compliance with corporate forecasts and financial plans.
Undertake special assignments or projects when assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the finance and accounting field or similar experience in comparable field required.
Theme Park or similar accounting/finance experience strongly preferred.
2. College degree in related field required. Advanced degree and/or CPA or CMA certificate preferred.
3. Proven leadership and previous management skills required
Salary Range:
Starting salary in the $80’s, plus bonus potential and great big-company benefits
