Director of Finance & Contract Compliance
Para Los Niños is currently seeking qualified applicants to apply for and opening of Director of Finance & Contract Compliance. Definition:
Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance and Contract Compliance will perform a variety of financial, contractual and general business tasks to assist in the management of all business aspects of the agency and all issues relating to the government Director will be responsible for the oversight of the finance and accounting department in the absence of the CFO.
Duties:
· Implement mission, vision, and values established by the President/CEO and Board of Directors.
· Participate in the overall Agency Accreditation Quality Improvement Process.
· Provide supervision and training to the Associate Director of Contracts, Manager of Contracts Reporting and Data Specialist.
· Oversee proper reporting on all contractual matters.
· Monitor programs to ensure compliance both fiscally and programmatically to the contracts.
· Participate in the RFP process ensuring the agency’s ability to meet financial and programmatic proposals.
· Negotiate agreements with subcontractors.
· Liaise with grantors to establish and maintain good relations.
· Communicate regularly with grantors regarding program changes, financial issues, budget modifications, etc.
· Lead in-house contract/accounting meetings and issues.
· Work with VP of Programs, CFO and program directors with regards to the development and implementation of new programs and grants.
· Coordinate all program audits, assist grantor’s auditors in conducting program audits and follow up on all audit findings.
· Lead in the preparation of the Agency Budget.
· Work with program staff relating to their budgets and actual results.
· Attend Board Finance Committee meetings as needed.
· Assist supervisor in the coordination, development and implementation stages of the agency’s accreditation by compiling and writing financial operational procedures.
· Assist in special projects as project assigned by supervisor.
· Perform other duties related to the management of the Finance Department as assigned by Supervisor.
· Nurture respectful relationship with co-workers, clients and children, and must be sensitive to the cultural needs of the population served.
Qualifications:
BS in Business related field. Eight (plus) years of work experience in business, computer literate, analytical, detail oriented, reliable and able to adhere to deadlines. Excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills, highly professional conduct and must have car and liability insurance.

Approximately 50% of time is spent sitting, while frequently required to walk, stand and bend. Must be able to talk and hear well. Good vision is imperative. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee will be required to lift and/or move unassisted up to 25 pounds.
Starting Salary: Negotiable, depending on education and experience
