Location Atlanta, GA 30346Status Full Time, EmployeeJob Category Accounting/Finance/Insurance Job Description Director of Financial Control and Operations: Macy's Central Corporate Office Overview:  The Director of Financial Control reports to the Vice President of Financial Planning and Control and is expected to be a key leader within the Finance area for the entire organization.  This position will be responsible for Cash Operations, Capital Control and Expense Payables and will have both direct and indirect reports.  Specific responsibilities will include ensuring that cash controls are in place for store deposits and selling floor register activity, divisional capital spending is in compliance with Macy's Inc. standards and that all expense invoices are accurately paid on time.  Additionally, this position will set standards as well as handle all budget-related activities for these three key departments.  Overall this position will be expected to drive results and ensure the integrity of our financial operations and controls.Key Responsibilities: Oversee Cash Operations & Sales Audit Responsible for Capital Cost Control, including Visual Oversee Expense Payables & Audit Coordinate inter-department activities, profit improvement, and ad hoc projects Skills Required:  Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.  5-10 years of managerial experience in a control-oriented environment.  Detail-oriented and well organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to look at a process, break it down through analysis, provide improvement recommendations, and then ultimately implement and execute the solution. The ability to deliver results through initiative and proactive action. Intermediate Microsoft Excel but Advanced is preferred.
