Seeking a self-starting, analytical, entrepreneurial individual with a strong background in financial forecasting, modeling, and planning in the IT services industry.  This is a hands-on role in a $200 million business unit in the greater Cincinnati area.  The firm’s information and financial systems are comprehensive, but their design makes it difficult to extract actionable information quickly.  Must be able to multi-task effectively with several unique data sets.  Position reports directly to the Corporate Vice President and Treasurer, with a strong dotted line to the Senior VP of Services Delivery. 

 


Responsibilities:

 

-  Build a “strategic partnership” with business unit management to improve financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and overall profitability.

 

-  Provide analytical support to business unit owner for RFQs and project profitability evaluations.

 

-  Develop and maintain short- and medium term financial models (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow) for strategic planning and market analysis.  Model and forecast project-based revenue and COGS and their associated impact on the business unit financials.

 

-  Identify key drivers and metrics for the business unit.

 

-  Coordinate and consolidate the annual budgeting process and lead detailed monthly financial reviews with executive management

 

-  Work closely with Finance and IT to improve systems, reporting, and processes

 

Requirements:

 

-  Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting

-  Minimum of 8 years financial or operational experience in an IT services business

-  Must be a strategic thinker and self-starting individual capable of developing and implementing new processes and models.  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

-  Robust understanding of GAAP and hands-on experience performing financial closes  

-  Determined, driven individual who can sort through reams of data to discern hidden trends and correct erroneous information.

-  Knowledge of PC spreadsheets, word-processing, and data base applications (Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word at a minimum)

-  Strong understanding of revenue recognition rules

-  Effective working in a matrix environment.
