Director of Internal Audit - healthcare industry focus

This high-profile leadership role in our firm is chartered with leading our healthcare practice by developing new business for our organization in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Responsible for executing on client engagements and maintaining a strong relationship with senior client personnel.  Must have a solid understanding of client’s business and be able to demonstrate technical competence in their product group and industry.  Ensure quality and satisfaction on engagements.  Must be able to clearly articulate the value drivers of our business, and are responsible for developing opportunities both at existing clients and new clients. Responsible for job economics and for ensuring timely close and billing of projects. Mid-Atlantic regional travel frequently required based on client commitments. 



· 12+ years of overall experience in a related field, preferably in a professional services and/or industry

· Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA strongly preferred

· “Big 4” experience in an audit environment strongly preferred

· Proven client management and business development skills with an established book of commerical business focused in the healthcare arena

· Solid understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance

· Solid understanding of current accounting(GAAP) and auditing (GAAS) principals

· Solid understanding of internal control concepts (COSO, COBIT)

· Prior management and supervisory experience in a team environment

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required
