The Director of Acquisition and Renewals for Accounting Professionals Sales for the Professional Accounting Division (APD) will be responsible for driving sales initiatives and customer/growth strategies for all offerings across APD. This individual will define, design and execute the overall strategy and own the end-to-end customer experience for sales, renewals and on-boarding in an effort to drive significant growth in revenue.
Key Responsibilities Include:
The Director of Acquisition and Renewals will manage a staff of 50+ employees consisting of Inside sales representatives in multiple sites and management staff, to deliver on aggressive revenue growth. Specific responsibilities include:
• Deliver on revenue target for APD offerings
Meet/Exceed APD renewal targets
Train and position the teams to sell all APD offerings, either through direct selling or lead generation
Contribute to the APD Sales Leadership development through active engagement in training, meetings, planning
Build bench strength to develop future sales leaders and mentor/coach current leaders
• Drive the customer selling strategy that positions the company to meet and exceed its sales growth objectives
• Create a work environment where the sales force is highly engaged and energized to wow the customer with excellent service and a broad range of products that supports their business objectives.
• Proactively assess the organization and sales channel strategy and drives change to create high performance sales force that is a competitive advantage for Intuit
• Work across multiple business units within the company using deep collaboration to develop the accountant strategy for the total portfolio of products within a full-service offering
• Work closely with APD Sales Leader to drive the customer sales and customer contact strategies as they relate to direct/telesales channel for APD.
• Ensure great adoption of Right-for-Me selling and test/ learn/ expand sales approach
• Through customer feedback & market intelligence support the analysis and decision making for critical product life cycle decisions
Provide input to the account management strategy for the overall APD Sales team
• Participate in developing current needs and 3-year vision and direction; recommend key priorities including program/process/resource management
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
• A seasoned career Sales professional with a minimum of 15 years of senior Sales Leadership experience in a high technology organization that combines a highly recognized consumer and/or business-to-business brand and a reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction and retention
• A clear track record of leading dramatic growth across multiple channels for a company selling technology-related products directly to small to medium businesses
• A world-class sales leader with experience in setting up new sales channels
• Experience with organizations that sell @ the $400M + revenue level and a proven track record of growing sales organically and through mergers/acquisitions
• Experience and expertise in leading organizations and driving difficult organizational change
• Strong technical sales expertise and the proven ability to evangelize it, along with the ability to conceptualize and teach sales principles and practices
• A leader with the force of personality to succeed in a highly competitive market, keeping the team focused on breakthrough strategies and tactics while meeting ongoing business objectives
• Track record of success working and influencing a fast-paced organization at all levels, being persuasive and effective even where no direct reporting relationship exists
• An innate understanding of business processes and how to redesign / re-engineer them to provide competitive advantage that translates into building outstanding easy-to-use and easy-to-sell products, product recognition and superior CRM for customers

• Experience managing multiple product lines and specific experience leading in a highly matrixed organization
Qualifications:
• 5 to 10+ years direct selling experience in solution selling to business customers
• 15+ years senior sales leadership experience (B to B sales); marketing and operations management also a plus
• BA or BS with a Master's degree preferred in Business, Finance/Accounting, Marketing or a combination of education and related work experience
• A blend of entrepreneurial and large company experience is ideal
• Experience marketing or selling a small business product that is sold like a consumer product, i.e. web, direct marketing, etc.
• Experience building inside and outside sales teams, including implementing training programs, establishing commission structures, etc
• Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to confidently make presentations to senior executives
