The Confidential Search Company is an executive recruitment firm with over twenty-five years of experience placing healthcare financial and administrative managers and specialists.
We have been engaged to conduct an executive search for a Compliance Manager, for our client Cambridge Health Alliance. This position is located in Somerville, MA. Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is an award winning health system that includes three hospital campuses and more than twenty primary care and specialty practice locations across Boston’s metro-north region.
The Compliance Manager will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for the development and implementation of the Cambridge Health Alliance Billing and Coding Compliance Plan. They will monitor billing and coding compliance activities conducted by CHA departments including Health Information Management, Hospital Billing, Care Management, Physician Organization billing and coding, and others as needed.
The Compliance Manager will work with other departments to develop and disseminate information on correct billing, coding and documentation practices, develop policies and improve billing coding systems and procedures.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Nursing, Health Care or health information management. Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) are strongly preferred. Coding certification or knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding preferred.
Candidates will have a minimum of three years of professional related experience including related health care experience or compliance program experience. Candidates should have specific knowledge of governmental regulations on documentation, coding and billing (Medicare IPPS, OPPS and Medicaid) and general knowledge of private third-party billing requirements and regulations preferred.
Candidates must have strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills and will be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Internet research skills.
CHA is willing to train an experienced RN or an experienced RHIA, RHIT or CCS in compliance to prepare them to successfully carry out the duties of this position.
The starting salary is up to $75,000, with a strong benefit package.
