This private industry, family owned firms located in the Salt Lake City area is seeking a Director of Tax to join their organization.

 

General Summary:

 

The Director of Tax will be responsible for providing tax compliance and planning services to High Net Worth Individuals, partnerships and LLC s (domestic and international tax experience required).

 

Successful candidates will possess the following skills: proven leadership skills ability to develop, coach and mentor a team business management expertise, presentation skills, and ability to expand services to “clients”ability to anticipate and address “client” concerns as they ariseexcellent interpersonal skills



Assignments include planning and coordinating the flow of information with the “client.”Developing a project vision and setting goalsManaging, developing, training, and mentoring staff on tax projects Conducting primary and secondary review of complicated or complex income tax returns.Researching and consulting on complex tax matters.Preparing complex tax returnsReviewing Tax Returns

 

Experience Required/Preferred:

 Bachelors Degree in Accounting requiredCPA RequiredMasters in Tax Preferred10 plus years experience working with high net worth individuals Public Accounting ExperienceExcellent Written and Verbal experienceStrong public speaking/teaching experience desirableHighly developed problem solving and analytical skills neededProject management and critical thinking skills needed
