Minimum requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

* MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting a plus

* CPA required

*10-15 years relevant work experience

* Strong technical and financial reporting skills

* Strong oral and written communication skills



Job Description:

 Fully responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.  The professional in this position must have a strong technical background and  remain current on all new accounting pronouncements issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (“PCAOB”), Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) and other regulatory bodies to which the Company’s financial statements are subject.  The Senior Director Accounting Standards and SEC Reporting, with the assistance of the External Financial Reporting Manager will evaluate all new and proposed accounting pronouncements and advise Company management on actions (or potential actions)  to be taken in order for the Company to properly prepare GAAP financial statements and related disclosures.

This role will be a significant management advisor with respect to the evaluation and determination of the accounting implications of proposed contracts and licensing agreements and other significant transactions.

 

 Responsible for the oversight of the preparation and filing of SEC financial filings, including EDGARization (10-Qs, 10-K, Proxy, 11K) and for the Company's annual report, including preparing and reviewing the footnotes to the financial statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis.

 

Supervise staff of  4  accountants.

 

Coordinate with the Legal and Treasury Departments for other SEC filings (8-K, S-3).  Must interface with the Company’s Executive Management , outside public accountants and attorneys, internal legal and communications departments on an as needed basis.
