Division Controller

Description:Eaton Corporation, Clutch Division located in Galesburg, MI has an opening for a Division Controller. This individual will assist the VP/General Manager, Business Unit Managers and Group Operations Controller in conforming and supporting corporate policies, legal requirements and GAAP of the division. Manage, direct, organize and control financial activity for a global multi-location division. Specifically protecting the assets the Corporation has assigned to this division and provide division management with overall business counsel and financial guidance necessary to produce a reasonable return on those assets. Reporting to the VPFIT responsible for the evaluation of operational performance; which includes developing objectives and the action plans to achieve them. Assure existence and competency of financial systems and procedures to comply with GAAP and corporate policies and procedures to guarantee integrity of financial reporting. Attract, select, direct and motivate professionals that consistently apply generally accepted accounting principles. Direct the financial activities of locations in various different countries. Analyze operating results and balance sheet elements to determine and recommend profit and/or cash flow improvement opportunities. Consolidate divisional worldwide financial information for review with senior divisional and group management. Counsel and control engineering section on specific business approaches. Manage and oversee financial activities of strategic alliances and joint ventures as they occur. Advise and control marketing section on specific business approaches, including pricing activity. As a key business partner to leadership, lead and support the development of strategic plans and objectives, including but not limited to, supporting the search and development of business opportunities. Direct the financial due diligence of target candidates and recommend action programs.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, MBA and/or CPA preferred. Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, at least 2 years multi-site financial leadership and International site training preferred. Exposure to GAAP, forecasting, risk management, budgetary control, and acquisition analysis preferred.
