This position participates in the design and drives the completion of project deliverables, as well as problem-solving with client and business solution/functional experts independently. In this position, the Business Consultant is acquiring expertise in a particular specialty, either business or industry. The Business Consultant has daily contact with lower to middle level client staff for information and data collection and may also participate in client meetings.This position provides training and guidance to junior personnel.Client Name: MDA Missile Defense AgencyThe Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is an agency under the Department of Defense. MDAs primary mission is to develop,rigorously test, prepare for deployment of a missile defense system, and to continuously evaluate production, deployment and operational alternatives for the ballistic missile defense system to provide emerging warfighting capability.Using complementary interceptors: land-, sea-, air-, and space-based sensors, battle management command, and controlsystems the planned missile defense system will be able to engage all classes and ranges of ballistic missile threats. Through its Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) program, MDAs fundamental objective is to develop the capability to defend forces and territories of the United States, its allies, and friends against all classes and ranges of ballistic missile threats.Performance Profile:Accounting and Financial Analysis Professional- Education Preferred: accounting, finance or related field- Experience Preferred: DOD Accounting, Project Management Principals, Professional Consulting- Duties including but are not limited to the following:- Conduct financial research and analysis- Develop corrective actions for detailed General Ledger accounts for a DOD activity using multiple automated applications, including MS Access, MS Excel, and various client specific applications- Assist in preparing project deliverables- Assist manager in reporting and tracking projects costs and level of effort- Work with client personnel to conduct research and develop corrective actionsPosition-specific Requirements: Functional- 10 years+ experience, DoD FM, MDA experience a plus, ERP experience a plus- BS/BA Degree- US Citizenship- The qualified candidate will need to strongly possess an understanding of the functional needs of the client. This entails the ability to review and analyze an end-to-end process, understand abstract business concepts and processes, and renovate such to meet the client's goals.- The candidate will not only need problem-solving skills but should be able to see the larger picture and decipher the steps to get the client from problem to solution.- The candidate will need to facilitate the clarification of functional specification and relay those specifications to internal and external stakeholders for review and acceptance.- The candidate will work on business planning and execution for business continuity including implementation, post implementation support, role emphasizing configuration, testing, and project management to develop an integrated system that delivers a strategic business advantage to the company.Desired Skills:- ERP experience a plus- The qualified candidate will need to strongly possess an understanding of the functional needs of the client.
