Entry Level Accountant

General Summary of Duties : Assist in establishing and maintaining accurate and timely accounting records in accordance with accounting principals and Company practice. Reports To: Assistant Controller Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Prepare Financial statements for subsidiary companies with monthly general and standard journal entries, 2. Assist with daily, monthly, and quarterly financials. 3. Prepare comparative reports, and account reconciliations; 4. Assist with year end audit will all consolidated entities 5. Assist with year end and quarterly tax requirements 6. Maintains the strictest of confidentiality; 7. Perform related work as required; 8. Update and maintain cash balance schedules; 9. Update and maintain fixed assets and depreciation; 10. Maintain documentation for all balance sheet accounts. Performance Requirements: 1. Knowledge of accounting theory, principals and practices; 2. Knowledge of budgeting and cost accounting principals; 3. Ability to analyze financial reports; 4. Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly; 5. Ability to compute ratios and percentages; 6. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing; 7. Ability to work independently; 8. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and managers; 9. Ability to organize, coordinate, and monitor project work; 10. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports; 11.
