Forensic specialists apply their knowledge of accounting, finance, information technology, and business to the investigation of specific issues related to insurance claims and litigation matters. Opinions are developed by thorough analysis combined with judgment and experience.  Ultimately the objective for hiring a forensic accountant is to use the accountant’s conclusions to facilitate a settlement, claim, or jury award by reducing the financial component as an area of continuing debate.
