Position Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced senior to work out of our Poughkeepsie office location. The incumbent should have experience managing and performing all facets of the audit process including: delivery of completed work papers, financial statements, and required communications to the partner by pre-established due dates and on budget. Senior will be responsible for interacting and consulting with clients and should be familiar with a paperless environment.

 

 Qualifications:Education:  BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business;Certification:  CPA and/or CPA Candidate preferred;
Experience:  3-5 years independent audit experience in public accounting in not-for-profit and government;Excellent accounting theory background required and the ability to stay current with professional pronouncements and be comfortable conducting technical staff meetings on current topicsLimited travel required out of New Yroek State;Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures;Strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills;
Proven technical skills with Excel, Word and Outlook; Experience with accounting software, ProSystem fx Engagement preferred;
•Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task;
