Government contractors were AWR’s first clients, the foundation of our business. As AWR has grown, so has the number of government contractors with whom we are working. We are proud to serve over 250 companies ranging from emerging businesses to large middle market enterprises (with over $400 million in revenue). We are currently hiring several Staff level candidates for our Government Contracting Consulting Group (GCCG). The GCCG group focuses on:GSA Schedule consultations. Direct and indirect cost rate structure design and analysis (including preparation of a comprehensive forward pricing model). Preparation and negotiation of equitable adjustment and termination claims. Strategic pricing assistance, analysis of Request For Proposals (RFP’s), and preparation of cost proposals. Interpretation of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as well as preparation of Disclosure Statements. Interpretation of Small Business Administration Rules (SBAR) and regulations including minority participation requirements of the 8(a) and SDB programs. Bid protests. Mergers and Acquisitions/ Due Diligence. Review and development of policies and procedures related to accounting, contracts and pricing.
Responsibilities: Participate in project teams to support client engagements. Prepare cost models in Excel. Conduct cost analysis. Provide strong written work products to support client projects. Aid in firm development activities and other marketing initiatives
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience with FAR, CAS or other government contract experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to be both a leader and work well in a team environment. Strong problem solving/analytical skills. Must be self-motivated.
Education & Experience Requirements:US citizenship required. BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance required. Advanced degree or CPA preferred. 1-3 years professional experience. Working knowledge of basic office technology (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word)
