Provide financial leadership for Gerber Innovations, a subsidiary of Gerber Scientific Products. Position reports directly to the Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, with a dotted-line reporting responsibility to the Subsidiary President and Financial Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility for directing the business's monthly/quarterly/annual finance and accounting activities, which includes supervising AP, AR and Payroll;Maintain direct control of finance related activities;Directly involved in all major business decisions while providing the president, management team and organization with expert business and financial advice/support to help run the business;Analyze monthly financial results including product margins, department spending and balance sheet related items;Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports, written summaries and presentations;Establish and report on company metrics (dashboards);Develop and administer an adequate plan for control of operations including profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, A/P, A/R, cost standards, and savings opportunities;Prepare/coordinate, analyze and report monthly/quarterly forecasts;Prepare/coordinate, analyze and report annual business plan;Participate in monthly/quarterly financial reviews with GI Management Team, Corporate Senior Management Team, Corporate Accounting and Audit;Provide support for Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Service and Operation activities/initiatives;Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of accounting systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value;Conforms with and abides by all the regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions;Other special projects as needed;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven to ten (7-10) years of accounting experience with a strong working knowledge in general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll;Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting;Work industry experience in manufacturing business strongly preferred;Proven experience managing professional financial staff;SAP experience a plus;Travel will be required;
