FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS LEADER (FP&A) EL PASO/JUAREZ

CANDIDATE LOCATION:  My client has operations centers in El Paso and also Quarez, MX.  We seek those who live in the El Paso area now.  Relocations are not considered.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Financial Planning & Analysis Leader will provide support to the local CFO and corporate leadership.  This position is responsible for financial analysis and management reporting for the local and corporate leadership. Responsibilities also include utilization of financial tracking, analysis, forecasting, and reporting models. Develops and/or delivers financial and business presentations and training programs as appropriate.  Communication skills are key as they will be required to correspond with corporate colleagues.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

§ Provide valued added variance analysis to highlight issues or opportunities and promote understanding. 

§ Drive efficient monthly rolling 4 quarter forecasting and annual planning process that reflects the latest sales and expense plans by business unit and function.

§ Ensure that local operation uses an identical budget model that aligns with the global model to deliver the highest quality SG&A and headcount forecasts and budget with minimum effort.

§ Identify trend lines and run rates; challenge management constructively with compelling data to address issues early.

§ Partner with the Accounting team to ensure that costs are charged accurately by project each month.

§ Field questions from customers on invoiced charges.

§ Highlight run rates and variances to Plan that require management dialogue with customers.

§ Long Range Planning and Pro-forma Forecasting

§ Construct and maintain a 3 year financial plan (SG&A, capital, headcount) to support strategic planning, particularly longer term capacity planning.

§ Financial Modeling in excel

§ Compliance of reporting with GAAP standards

§ Management Reporting

 

Experience:Accounting or Finance BackgroundBS degree in Accounting or  Finance 2-5 years experience in a divisional or corporate role FP&A and/or project management experience preferred

Skills & Capabilities:Excellent analytical and modeling skillsExtensive knowledge of Excel is a MUST HAVE; PowerPoint ProficiencySuperior problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with management team Understanding of financial models, forecasting, variance and trend analysis.Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy on work output Energetic and inquisitive quick learner Strong written and oral communication skills that enables clear and concise communication to all levels of management Appreciation for data integrity, process definition and organizational alignmentHighly motivated, self-starter; comfortable interacting with Sr. Management.Able to handle multiple and sometimes competing prioritiesPassionate, energetic, enthusiastic to drive resultsFluent English a must
