FIXED ASSETS ACCOUNTANT

Job Description:• Maintain Fixed Assets GAAP and tax set of books and ensure fixed assets activities are accounted for timely and accurately • Participate in the month end closing process • Prepare monthly roll-forward and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts • Prepare monthly and quarterly capital expenditure analyses • Present capital expenditure analyses to Management • Assist field finance on determination and record of capital leases • Calculate gain or loss on disposal of fixed assets • Compile and prepare fixed assets information for finance department and audit requests • Provide fixed assets information to Tax Department for tax provision calculation and income taxes filings • Assist Fixed Assets Manager in the monitoring and execution of internal control activitiesRequirements: •  Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or Finance, from accredited four-year college or university •  Five years of fixed assets management related experience •  Good understanding of fixed assets accounting in accordance with GAAP •  FAS13 experience is a plus •  Strong verbal and written communication •  Good analytical and problem solving skills •  Proficiency with GREAT PLAINS softwareAbout our client Large North Dallas telecommunications firm experiencing rapid growth Accountants Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
