The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the negotiation and administration of Federal Government contracts, ensuring contractual compliance with the terms and conditions of the contracts. The Contracts Manager will be able to execute the following functions: Ensures internal contractual compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract and compliance with designated management objectives Negotiates contracts, including price, terms, and conditions, and reviews subsequent contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to executionWill have supervisory responsibilities; Provides guidance and work leadership to contracts staff Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems; Reviews requests for proposals and prepares proposals Reviews and approves solicited and unsolicited proposals for submission to customers Formulates and negotiates contract or subcontract proposal modifications; Reviews and negotiates teaming agreements Reviews policies and procedures and provides input to management concerning operation of contracts department Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations; Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices; Participates in special projects as required.Position specific Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years of directly work experience with an Federal contracts administration Bachelor of Business Administration or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional, or work Experience Strong working experience in Federal FAR, DFAR, and CAS Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word) Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contracts administration; knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contractsPosition-specific Desired Skills: Professional Certification (CPCA) preferredBearingPoint is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability or any other basis covered by law.
