Finance/Accounting Intern

Purpose of the role

 

To provide project support to the Corporate Finance team relating to projects, compliance, and analysis.  Internship may span over various areas of Finance and Accounting.

 Core Accountabilities

 Assist in the planning and execution of financial reporting requirements.

Assist with account reconciliation duties.

Communicate effectively will all levels of the organization.

Maintain an awareness of audit trends.

Perform other duties as required.

Writing, review and revision of internal documents

Writing, review and revision of external reporting documents

Coursework toward degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and organizational skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Available to work varying hours, at times over 40 hours per week.
