The North American regional office of InternationalBaccalaureate (www.ibo.org), a non-profit educational organization that offerscurriculum and assessment worldwide is looking for a Finance Associate –Accounts Payable. 

 

TheFinance Associate will have the responsibility for the day-to-day operations ofthe accounts payable function within the global transactions processingdepartment based in the NY office. This will include processing transactions onbehalf of NY and the Vancouver office in addition to administrative duties forthe finance department.  The post willact as the main point of contact for payable issues relating to this region.

 

The Finance Associate –Accounts Payable position will involve:

 Responsible for recording and payment of accounts payable transactions for the regionResponsible for answering payment queries such as correspondence from staff, vendors, volunteers concerning reimbursements, refunds, questions, concerns, or problems related to expendituresResponsible for all internal financial administrative duties such as making sure correct approvals and codes are on all submitted invoices and claim forms, 1099 statements are issued and vendor files are organizedResponsible for the recording, payment and reconciliation of the company credit cardWill provide supporting documentation and accurate financial information to departments in order to assist with budgets and expenditures. End of month reports and journal entries are prepared including summaries of payment by type and confirmation is received from the offices of the reported transactionsSupport given to special projects throughout the year

 

Requirements:

 

Thesuccessful candidate must possess:

 Associates degree in accounting and two (2) years accounting or an equivalent combination of experience, education and trainingWorking knowledge of accounting and data entry software (Oracle Financials & Crystal reports preferred)Excellent data entry skills Proficient in Excel, Word and AccessMaintain large volume of transactions with high level of accuracyStrong communication skillsExcellent organization skillsWillingness to travel occasionally
