Financial Accountant

Discovery Healthcare Consulting Group, LLC  provides professional financial consultation and compilation services to Hospitals and other Healthcare facilities in metropolitan and rural communities throughout Texas.


We are currently seeking an energetic accounting or finance graduate who is interested in working in Lubbock and desires an opportunity to learn Healthcare Accounting and Financial Consulting Services. The successful candidate will perform numerous tasks including auditing Hospital financial records, preparing healthcare facility financial statements, working with Hospital management in preparing industry required reports, and strategic consulting analysis. The position requires close interaction with staff and management within the firm as well as close interaction with client personnel. The candidate should also have an ability to effectively communicate audit findings, to document Medicare/Medicaid cost report support in an organized and efficient manner, and to explain recommendations with clients.

The position requires that the candidate have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. We also prefer that the candidate have eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or have already achieved certification, although this is not required.  The position also requires a certain amount of overnight travel.
