Position description:

 

The Financial Analyst will support forecasting, planning and analysis for the Company, particularly via the utilization of Essbase tools. The Financial Analyst will also provide hands-on support of special financial projects throughout the Company. The primary functions of this position are as follows: • Assist in the maintenance and updating of the FP&A Excel/Essbase tools used to generate annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts (LEs) and periodic longer term forecasts and other special projects. • Prepare corporate G&A department annual Plan templates by populating with existing data and updating based on departmental submissions. Also, prepare the Plan “rollup� of corporate G&A. Similarly, update corporate G&A for quarterly LEs. • Work towards the understanding and updating of complex company Excel models for Plan and LEs. Prepare the Company-wide Essbase “rollups� for Plan and LEs. • Create new Excel/Essbase tools and other models as requested for various functional disciplines, including FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting. • Prepare presentations, reports and other requests on an as needed basis for management • Provide support as requested for ad hoc special projects such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financial activities including refinancings, stock issuance, etc.

 

Position requirements:

 

Required Qualifications/Experience/Skills – This entry level position is a new position created to allow Hexcel the opportunity to train and develop a new resource. The ideal candidate would 0 to 2 years experience with an enthusiastic take on their career. This candidate should have the following qualifications and skills: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access • Experience with Hyperion applications a plus • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to multitask, customer focused and the ability to meet deadlines
