Overview
This position is a key contributor to the annual and long range strategic planning process which includes facilitating the company-wide budget calendar and identifying corporate wide assumptions, preparing corporate operating expense budgets, analyzing division budgets and consolidating company-wide financial statements. Other activities include complex financial modeling, metrics tracking, variance analysis, cash management, inventory control and measurement, mergers and acquisitions analysis, and ad hoc requests for senior management. Performs economic research and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements. A thorough understanding of the balance sheet and cash flow is critical. The position assumes a leadership role in many special projects. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with divisions, accounting/treasury, operations, and procurement. The successful candidate will also interact with and provide analysis for the investor community. Must be self-motivated, an independent thinker and have a team attitude. It is critical to have a strong understanding of both accounting and finance and to be able to understand the financial impacts of business decisions. The position interacts with senior management and external customers so it is critical to possess solid verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities
Consolidate company-wide forecasts and budgets. Prepare corporate operating expense budgets. Create cash projections, discounted cash flow as well as other financial models. Prepare senior management presentations.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will typically have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and four to eight years of related experience. MBA preferred with a Finance focus. Some travel is required. Extensive experience with Microsoft suites, with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Hyperion. Must have the ability to learn proprietary systems to Vought.
